Job Description

Summary: Mechanical Drafter/Designer needed to prepare technical drawings, develop system layouts, and design components utilizing SolidWorks, adhering to ASME Y14.5 standards.

Requirements:

Associates degree in mechanical design or equivalent technical training
Minimum 7 years of experience in computer-aided drafting
Proficiency in 3-D modeling, with a preference for SolidWorks experience
U.S. Citizenship required
Experience in mechanical design and layout, preferably with specialized packaging solutions
Strong mathematical skills for common calculations

Preferred Skills:

Experience with machine processes and mechanical fabrication
Knowledge of materials and assembly processes beneficial

Responsibilities:

Develop fabrication and assembly drawings for system components and assemblies
Resolve discrepancies by analyzing information and conferring with stakeholders
Identify specifications by examining engineering documents and performing calculations
Maintain an engineering database including data entry and backups
Design enclosures, test fixtures, and detailed electronics packages using SolidWorks
Create designs that consider manufacturing technology with appropriate dimensions, tolerances, and finishes
Generate fabrication and assembly drawings following ASME Y1

4.5 standards

Reverse engineer complex components and assemblies
Contribute to team efforts as needed

Additional Information:

The role allows for remote work but may require occasional visits to the facility. The candidate must be committed to ethical business conduct in line with company standards.

Pay Details: $28.00 to $37.00 per hour
