    Job Description

    Support Mill Hall quality systems, compliance processes (ISO 9001), handle customer complaints, and manage hourly Laboratory employees.

    Responsibilities include:

    As Employee Supervisor:
    • Directly supervise hourly quality employees. Monitor work and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions. Responsible for attendance/vacation schedule.
    • Administers and executes policies and procedures that typically affect individual subordinate employees.
    • Coach, mentor, and develop direct reports. Foster teamwork and individual development.
    • Support performance management - including performance evaluation, objective setting, and development.
    • Responsible for ensuring that QTL technicians' training is complete.
    As Quality Lab Supervisor:
    • Support corporate initiatives to include testing and analysis of new products.
    • With Quality Manager, generate, edit, and approve quality ISO docs including new product generation docs.
    • Support Mill Hall operations to ensure a quality product is produced within defined specifications.
    • Order lab materials as needed.
    • Schedule outside vendors for lab equipment calibrations, industrial hygiene, etc. Work with CoE on joint calibrations.
    • Support safety initiatives at the site: complete assigned participation and set an example as a safety leader at the site.
    As an interactive member of the Mill Hall site.
    • Update and maintain the ISO quality system. Work with the process owners.
    • Coordinate the ISO audits.
    • Coordinate customer complaints and work with appropriate Mill Hall personnel on customer complaints.
    • Coordinate rework procedures.
    • Be available during off hours for technical guidance, call-offs, and schedule changes.
    Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

    Qualifications
    • High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
    • 3+ years of manufacturing and engineering or related experience, with supervisory or lead experience preferred.
    • Certified Quality Engineer, Affiliation with ASQ or other related certifications and affiliations preferred.
    • Sound engineering and people-leading skills.
    • Demonstrated understanding and skills in project and program management, including 3rd parties.
    • Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, ISO, or related experience preferred.
    • Understanding of applicable computer systems, such as Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, and function-specific software.
    • Strong math and analytical skills. Strong organization and attention to detail. Strong scientific and engineering knowledge.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to be an advisor to clients and build strong and sustainable relationships.
    • Skilled in team building and experience in effectively working with cross-functional teams.
