    Description

    This role will be responsible for designing high quality solutions for the AXA XL business as part of the Infrastructure End User Computing (EUC) Team.

    The successful applicant will design evolving global engineering solutions, product roadmaps and standards.

    They will be responsible for delivering Infrastructure Engineering solutions to the business and technology functions.

    A key objective of this role will be to work with Engineering, Architecture teams, Security, Risk and Compliance functions, understanding corporate requirements for the solutions that enable the business to meet their objectives in a compliant manner.

    Key responsibilities of this role are:

    • Manage the development, evolution and delivery of Infrastructure Engineering Security product roadmap.
    • Keep up-to-date with Industry developments and initiatives to ensure they are incorporated into the product roadmap, when approved
    • Ensuring Security is built into the On-Prem and Cloud designs from inception and throughout the solutions lifecycle
    • Working across all Engineering towers to ensure a consistent approach to developing and deploying solutions from a security perspective
    • Proactively work with Architects, Security teams, Risk and Compliance and other engineering teams to develop enterprise security principals and strategies that support the business development initiatives
    • Incorporate operational 'lessons learnt' into designs and standards
    • Work with team members within Infrastructure to transition solutions into operational run status
    • Provide 'Level 3' operational support to infrastructure services in the event of major incidents or complex technical issues
    • Support Project Managers with technical input for project initiation documents
    • Support IT and Business Change projects in collaboration with Infrastructure Architecture teams, as required
    • Research and develop solutions and technologies that may further drive innovation or efficiencies
    • Manage key vendor relationships involved in the delivery of security and identity services and technologies, including understanding vendor product roadmaps and promote these within the overall infrastructure Engineering product roadmaps
    • Maintain leading edge product knowledge and assist in ensuring business value is derived from applying engineering excellence and exploiting evolving functionality
    • Manage technical delivery of engineering projects to the agreed scope, on time and budget. Ensure that engineering projects satisfy governance criteria
    • Ensure Engineering activities are in accordance with all relevant external regulators and company policies
    Required Skills and Abilities
    • Previous experience in a hands-on Engineering and a good grasp of an engineering role
    • Experience of working on multiple Project based activities and being the Technical SME for those projects
    • Experience in meeting End User requirements utilizing a range of toolsets and servicesincluding M365
    • Extensive knowledge of: Citrix, Nutanix, VMWare and Microsoft 365 services
    • Strong Understanding of Citrix including Citrix Cloud environments
    • Strong Understanding of Nutanix
    • Strong Understanding of Packaging Applications for Citrix using ELM
    • Strong Understanding of Citrix MCS management and deployment
    • Strong Server and Desktop Administration skills - including good Powershell scripting knowledge
    • Strong Understanding of Azure Virtual Desktop
    • Good understanding of Azure Active Directory and how this interacts with other M365 services
    We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:
    • Technical experience with other M365 collaboration services including MS Teams, Intune etc
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 client tools (e.g. Outlook, Teams, OneDrive etc)
    • Knowledge of specific EUC components. e.g. Windows 10, Group Policies, Browsers, Printing, Mobile
    • General knowledge of localised Active Directory and its interaction with Azure Active Directory
    • Understanding of Windows and Active Directory
    • Understanding of Microsoft Defender AV and ATP
    • The candidate will be required to write High Level Design documents, so good written communication skills are essential.
    • The candidate must be able to clearly articulate technical solutions and be confident in explaining solutions to a wider project group who may not be technically aware
    • Ability to implement (and/or upgrade) Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) solutions
    • Strong knowledge of StoreFront with Netscaler integration
    • Experience with onboarding applications and streamlining/improving application deployment
    • Experience managing persistent and non-persistent (golden image) VDI implementations/options
    • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
    • Excellent communication & research skills
    Preferred Additional Skills and Abilities
    • Knowledge of Insurance, Financial Services requirements
    • Understanding of Security best practice when applied to use of EUC services
    • General knowledge of Azure cloud.
    • Excellent customer facing skills and significant experience building strong client relationships with strong influencing skills to achieve desired outcomes
