Job Opening SummaryProvides leadership in the development of professional nursing practice by providing administrative support and structure for the delivery of professional nursing care in the Department of Nursing and Patient Services.
Accountable for assigned regulatory, quality management and human resource support duties; and strategic planning, implementation, evaluation and revision of systems and policies and procedures that support professional practice and achieve the nursing vision and organizational goals.
Maintains 24-hour accountability for unit functions, covering shifts and/or performing patient care duties, as needed, but not a routine basis.
The nurse manager provides leadership to achieve the organization's mission of excellent patient care and nursing's vision of setting a new standard of excellence in autonomous and accountable nursing practice committed to patient advocacy and innovative patient care in a climate of trust and collaboration.
Job Opening QualificationsMinimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Current RN license in the state of Florida.
Bachelor's or master's degree in nursing required.
National nursing certification required within six months of hire.
Minimum of five years ofprofessional nursing practice experience required.
Must possess strong analytical, interpersonal, leadership and management skills with knowledge and application of professional nursing practice environments, quality/safety improvement processes, nursing care delivery models, health care delivery systemsand budgetary processes.
Must be able to demonstrate skills in creating vision, effecting change and facilitating transitions.Motor Vehicle Operator Designation:
Employees in this position will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a 'non-frequent driver
'Licensure/Certification/Registration:
