    BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST (BSA) ,


    Biology , to assess, analyze, and evaluate business needs and requirements to design and develop effective technological solutions that align with business strategies of the department's administrative operations.


    Will work with leadership in functional administrative areas (HR, Finance, Academic Administration, Facilities, EHS, IT, etc.) to assess and document current business rules/processes and propose, design, and implement technological platform(s) to improve efficiency, reduce redundancy and paper dependency, and move toward integrated, cross-departmental operational systems.


    Responsibilities include:
    Serving as a technological lead on application development projects.

    Understanding and assessing business processes.

    Proposing, designing, and developing technological platforms supporting the processing, workflow, and management of data.

    Participating in the full life cycle of application development, including design, coding, testing, production, training, and documentation.

    Building cross-departmental platforms, applications, functionality, pages, reports, and dashboards.

    Developing testing plans and coordinating and conducting testing for system support and enhancements.

    Developing training materials, implementation plans, and change-management strategies.

    Providing relevant training and on-going user support after solutions have been implemented.

    Ensuring compliance with MIT policies/practices.

    Performing other duties as assigned.
