- The position will analyze, develop test configure implement maintain various hardware platforms container server operating systems backup recovery systems storage infrastructure enterprise services email directory services enterprise monitoring of these services for clients of Department of Information Technology State of Michigan end-users.
- The position will also be responsible for implementing standard-based end-to-end solution designs leveraging defined processes configuring and supporting platform configurations in coordination with telecommunications storage directory services security ensuring solutions are in line with defined standards policies running tests to determine accuracy configuration logic produce desired results debugging revising configuration based test results implementing standard hardware software configurations specifications new hardware software configurations as designed maintaining records providing support preparing reports correspondence related assigned network hardware software systems following defined policies standards procedures configuring implementing testing maintaining third-party software systems on hardware network servers providing technical support trouble tickets assigned customer support tool remedy analyzing resolving problems identify network hardware system operational inefficiencies failure patterns continuous monitoring Enterprise Container Services platform automating tasks can repeated consistency using Azure DevOps source control all infrastructure code assisting application database administrators initial application installation requires OCP administrative level extending standing sitting reaching lifting bending carrying walking kneeling climbing steep ladders use computer telephone extensively employee regularly required lift pounds employee primarily temperature-controlled environment performing duties Standard work schedule am pm Monday through Friday unless alternate work schedule approved management overtime call may required position due nature technical support services division policy flex-scheduling time worked more than hours week advanced notice given management accordance Civil Service guidelines.
