    GENERAL SUMMARY:


    Working collaboratively in a team environment, the Audiologist will conduct standardized testing, evaluations of hearing aids and patient/family counseling within the UVM Health Network.

    This position will be home based at CVPH and will travel as needed to other network partner facilities as needed.

    Using excellent interpersonal skills, the Audiologist will interact with a wide range of personalities and ages and will effectively communicate test results to patients, families, physicians, colleagues, and other personnel.

    They will work independently to initiate tasks with flexibility to adjust with changing caseloads and work requirements.

    The Audiologist will utilize computers for word processing, electronic medical record documentation, audiological testing and hearing aid programming as needed.

    The Audiologist will periodically monitor and perform minor maintenance of audiological equipment.


    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Education/Skills Required:
    • Master's Degree or Clinical Doctorate in Audiology.
    • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association. (ASHA) or have American Board of Audiology (ABA) Certification.
    • Must possess or be eligible for current state licensure in Audiology.
    • Hearing Aid Dispensing License, preferred.
    • Experience in a medical setting is preferred.


    As applicable, the individual has training/competency in attending to the special needs and/or behaviors appropriate to the age of patients for which care is being provided.
