    Research Program Manager

    This is a senior level program manager position with broad responsibilities for UPMC Hillman Cancer Center programs supporting leadership and member research activities. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting all elements of reporting for the National Cancer Institute's Cancer Center Support Grant (P30) using a variety of computer systems/software. CCSG reporting involves management of cancer center membership, publications and grant funding for each member and research program, and clinical trial activity for each member and research program. In addition, the incumbent will work closely with research program leaders to ensure information reported is thorough and accurate. The incumbent will become a subject matter expert in NCI reporting requirements for all eData Tables and serve as a resource for faculty and program leaders. Duties also include compiling reporting metrics to be shared will Cancer Center leadership quarterly or upon request. In addition, the incumbent will assist in organizing content for External Advisory Board meetings and Hillman's annual Scientific Retreat. This position reports to the Associate Director for Research Administration but will also work closely with other senior leaders in the Cancer Center. This position will require management of many deliverables at the same time therefore the incumbent will be required to maintain a high level of organization and autonomy. A preference will be given to candidates with a master's degree.

    Job Summary

    Manages and facilitates overall day-to-day research administration activities and operational functions. Collaborates to ensure compliance, productivity, and progress. Develops and implements program policies and procedures and adheres to protocols, regulations, and budgets. Coordinates program events and logistics. Performs budgetary functions.

    Essential Functions

    Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; must demonstrate the ability to write and speak in public settings as well as ability to communicate with a variety of audiences. Strong use of Sharepoint and Teams; Utilization of the electronic Research Administration (eRA) - NIH ASSIST (Application Submission System & Interface for Submission Tracking) platform for Core Grant renewal submissions will be required. Must demonstrate ability to multi-task, prioritize to meet deadlines, attention to details and accuracy as well as time management skills and follow thru.
