Description

Job Title

The Director of Finance is responsible for leading all financial functions for two charter schools.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate and timely general ledger, fixed assets, liabilities, bank reconciliations, payables, receivables, etc.
Produce monthly financial statements, bank reconciliations, comparisons to budget, supporting analyses, and annual year-end statements.
Oversee budgeting, fund management, audit, tax, accounting, purchasing, and corporate records.
Support the annual audit process and prepare client-produced schedules.
Establish and direct internal controls, procedures, and systems for proper records and accounting controls.
Oversee financial compliance reporting, communicate with authorities, and prepare financial reports.
Collaborate with school staff to manage vendor relationships and ensure fiscal stability.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of related experience, preferably in charter schools or growing organizations.
Public accounting or CPA experience is a plus.
