- Ensuring consistent, high-quality food and maximizing the profitability and organizational stability of the unit
- Responsible for creating, implementing and executing vision as it relates to food creativity, quality, consistency and execution, staff accountability and integrity of physical property and equipment
- In addition to excellent culinary knowledge and high-end catering experience, in-depth responsibilities evolve from the following areas
- Financial Management
- People Management
- Sales and Contract Management
- Operational Standard Management
- Develop short and long-term objectives and strategies including, but not limited to, pricing structure, menu composition, and sales initiatives
- Preparation and cooking of food items for events, both on and off-site
- Control food, supplies, and linen cost on the P&L through sound inventory and procurement practices
- Ensuring guest satisfaction from initial contact through event completion
- Ensuring that food is prepared and served in a timely manner
- Collaborating with other team members to ensure that events run smoothly
- Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen
- 3-5 years of experience as a catering chef
- Formal culinary training or education preferred
- Experience with event planning and execution is a plus
- Experience with sales, negotiation, and contract building
- Communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of various computer software programs (i.e. Microsoft office)
- Professional Customer-Facing Appearance
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Available to work weekends and/or holidays as needed
