Job Summary

The Wellness Associate reports to the Wellness Director and Manager, providing services based on each Resident's Service Plan.

Essential Functions:

Assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating
Monitoring residents' health and promptly reporting any changes
Managing medical supplies and assisting with orders
Coordinating shift coverage
Supporting new associates and orienting them
Responding to emergencies and providing first-aid
Assisting with housekeeping
Attending to residents' needs promptly
Helping with laundry and meal services
Participating in activities programs
Maintaining records
Attending in-service education
Performing other assigned duties

Compliance and Safety:

Following emergency procedures and safety policies
Effectively communicating with staff
Updating Wellness Director on residents' health changes

Education/Experience/Licensure/Certification:

Nurse's Aide registration preferred but not required
Experience with seniors and a passion for the work
Physically able to perform demanding tasks
Maintaining positive relationships with residents and staff
In good physical and emotional health

Physical Requirements:

Bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 60 pounds
Standing for extended periods
Possibly using a Hoyer Lift

Miscellaneous:

Potentially working weekends, holidays, and varied shifts
Subject to exposure to certain health conditions
Background and drug tests may be required
Random drug tests during employment
Possibility of image being used in advertising
Potential video recording in residents' apartments
