+ Responsible and accountable for providing educational program and ongoing nursing competencies in collaborations with Directors. + Is responsible for providing clinical and management leadership in patient care. + Actively and consistently contributes to department operations and communications, behaves in a manner consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Pipeline Health, upholding standards of AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank you) patient communication.+ Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act+ Maintains close communication with all Directors and Managers in each department and coordinates educational plan and activities with them.+ Participates on the hospital's committee structure.+ Ensures that all employees are provided initial nursing orientation.+ Provides ongoing education to staff to obtain and improve knowledge on current policy procedures current nursing practice regulatory changes hospital changes+ Participates in hospitals Performance Improvement Program provides reports according established format timeframes+ Collects data both improvement priorities continuing measurement+ Able write educational plans implement plan completion+ Teaches participation multidisciplinary patient family education Utilizes appropriate resources documents level comprehension Participates incorporating advocating additional intervention neededData collection purpose participating performance improvement planContinually re-evaluates education plan updates/revisesProvides care staff training age-appropriate care patients ranging infant geriatric including but not limited normal growth developmentAbility assess interpret provide age specific dataKnowledge normal disease processesAbility provide age specific treatmentPossess communication skills necessary interpret age specific response treatment socialization factors separation anxiety loss independence/control issues recognition sensorium changesAbility involve family/significant other/legal guardian decision making processes related plan careAbility provide safe environment specific age developmentDemonstrates awareness barriers learning safety measures fall precautionsUses clear concise professional communication coworkers patients all customers internal externalUses AIDET interactions patients family members Utilizes white boards patient communicationCollaborates across disciplines assist coordination patient care including but not limited transfer discharge referrals spiritual/psychosocial support needsActs sense urgency performing tasksBasic unit/department maintenance keeping files drawers cabinets free unnecessary clutterReports equipment environmental issues repairAbides by HIPAA regulationsUtilizes SBAR Situation Background Assessment Recommendation when communicating oncoming shift physician communication giving report ancillary other nursing servicesSpeaks stop line escalates potential safety events necessaryCompletes attends monthly training assignedMay float areas hospital neededOther duties assigned.
