- Manages specific projects/orders throughout the Engineering design stages while communicating with customers per application.
- Maintains continuity on custom projects for accuracy of final product compared to proposal.
- Provides quote, estimating, costing, application evaluation, quote follow up and project management as required.
- Day to day quoting involvement through applications & communication with customers to provide quotes on opportunities.
- Helps define solutions for application requests and costing quotes.
- Provides improved profitability and increased quote accuracy.
- Communicates directly with consumer from beginning of RFQ through to providing formal proposal.
- Execute accurate, detailed proposal package.
- Provides knowledge and technical training to TSR's, customer service/inside sales reps, outside sales reps and others when necessary.
- Ensures accuracy of product costing.
- Travels to end user sites to provide on-site technical support to the TSR as required.
- Work on design of product to maximize cost savings related to labor and material.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical design or similar field
- Three years mechanical design experience preferred
- Two years technical sales support experience in an industrial setting, preferably within the material handling business, demonstrating knowledge of product, channels, vertical markets and competition preferred.
