The first role is leading continuous improvement projects and events. This role is expected to take a majority of your time.The second role, Canister Certification, is leading a small team to ensure that all the requirements are met for demonstrating that naval spent nuclear fuel is fit for being stored in a national repository.
The third role, Engineering Support, involves owning the manuals that govern how other engineers write work instructions.Required Combination of Knowledge and SkillBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 6 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 4 years of relevant experience; or Currently or previously Shift Supervisor Part I qualified; or EDO qualified and 2 years EOOW qualified in the Nuclear Operations Program; or 3 years SRE qualified and Water Instructor and Refueling Facility Area Refueling Engineer and Fuel and Barrier Shift Supervisor (ECF only); or SRE qualified and 6 years of experience.
Preferred Skills Experience as an engineer who supported a product line at the Naval Reactors Facility. Familiarity with LEAN tools and processes. LEAN belt certification Experience working on cross-functional teams. Change management experience Project Management experience Attention to detail for the Canister Certification role.
