    Substance Use Specialist

    Key Responsibilities:

    As a Substance Use Specialist, you will partner with care teams to coordinate client care. You will conduct Intake & Psychosocial Assessments to determine diagnoses, including mental illness and co-occurring disorders.

    Essential Duties:

    • Delivers individual substance use counseling to assigned clients according to organizational policies and procedures.
    • Leads group activities and group therapy sessions focused on substance abuse and addiction.
    • Takes an active role in comprehensive team treatment planning and activities.
    • Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure client needs are met.
    • Educates clients on issues related to substance abuse treatment.

    Requirements:

    • Licensed Clinical Drug and Alcohol Professional (LCDP) licensure required.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively across levels.
    • Self-motivated and independent, with ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
    • Valid Driver's License with reliable transportation to travel between facilities.
