Role Overview:

The Dialysis Hospital Services Nurse (Acute RN) will be responsible for providing specialized dialysis and renal nursing care, along with administering plasmapheresis treatments at our Weirton Med Center acute hemodialysis unit. Collaborating with hospital and outpatient care teams, the Acute RN ensures patients receive safe, high-quality care leading to positive outcomes.

Work Schedule: Full-time position involving four 10-hour shifts starting at 6:30am. On-call duties and travel between sites may be required.

Expectations:

Prepare and oversee dialysis and water treatment equipment
Conduct pre- and post-dialysis assessments
Administer medications as prescribed
Provide patient education
Act as the primary dialysis contact for healthcare professionals
Adhere to established policies and procedures
And other duties as needed

Qualifications:

Strong communication skills

Education/Training:

Active WV RN license
Previous dialysis or critical care nursing experience is a plus
CPR and BLS certifications
