    Description

    Brembo North America, a world leader and innovator in the design and manufacturing of braking systems and components, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor.

    The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the work execution of all activities and assigned projects within the plant. They are responsible to the Maintenance Manager for the efficient and effective use of department/shift manpower, materials, parts and other resources under their supervision. They are charged with the development of journeyman and technicians under their supervision into a well-trained, committed, and spirited "maintenance team". They must also be able to provide equipment-related expertise and technical guidance to ensure proper work execution.

    DUTIES

    • Direct all planned job packages for completeness and correctness, assign priority of how work will be completed.
    • Participate in daily maintenance meetings to discuss downtime and corrective actions based on plant needs.
    • Coordinate maintenance efforts between shifts to achieve orderly and accurate changeover to quickly resolve downtime carry over issues. Discuss long term fixes to chronic issues.
    • Manage personnel via evaluation, training, and communication.
    • Maintain all work areas are in a safe and orderly fashion according to plant & 5S standards.
    • Guide shift to maintain CMMS information accuracy and effectiveness to include work orders, PM tasks and detailed information as required.
    • Involvement with continuous improvement on PM system to ensure that job functions are serving proper purpose to eliminate downtime.
    • Ensure employees are working safely including support and enforcement of safety rules and guidelines
    • Organize shift and prioritize items on shift based on needs of foundry
    • Assign work orders to technicians and ensures work is completed successfully in a timely fashion
    • Coordinate with production supervisors and production team leaders to ensure work is completed
    • Collaborate with engineers and warehouse to make sure parts are effectively prepared for planned work.
    • Responsible for helping improve the work organization and cost reduction activities
    • Coordinate external companies (including contractors)
    • Management of data detecting and analyzing activity concerning plant operations with particular attention to damages/stops
    • Support the manager to the spare parts warehouse management & planning
    • Cooperate with the Plant Safety and Environment Manager to monitor Safety and Environment risks
    • Organize work & projects for maintenance shutdowns to avoid downtime
    • Lead or is involved in Root Cause analysis or Kaizen events.
    • Participate in daily maintenance meetings to discuss downtime and corrective actions based on plant needs
    • Coordinate maintenance efforts between shifts to achieve orderly and accurate changeover to quickly resolve downtime carry over issues then discusses long term fixes plaguing issues.
    • Manage teams via performance evaluations, training, and communication (including disciplinary actions), Facilitates teamwork. Apply corrective actions in a timely manner.
    • Maintain all work areas in a safe and orderly fashion including 5-S Standards
    • Guide shift to maintain CMMS information accuracy and effectiveness
    • Coordinate with continuous improvement on PM system and ensure job functions are serving proper purpose to eliminate downtime, ensure downtime logs and work order paperwork has all information completed properly for items worked on during the shift

    QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION

    • Journeyman's card in general maintenance, machine repair, electrical, millwright, or equivalent technical training.
    • Previous leadership experience preferred.

    TECHNICAL SKILLS AND PRIOR EXPERIENCE

    • Proficiency in Foundry operation, setup, computer skills, manufacturing tooling design, lean concepts, experience in grinding, balancing and drilling operations, automation, logic, mechanical, design, and implementation.
    • Utilize knowledge of product design, material and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, manufacturing methods and quality control standards.
