    What we do:
    The Sr.

    Manufacturing Engineer, Energy Storage Systems is responsible for delivering flight-worthy products and maturation of technologies to meet production cost and rate requirements.

    Success requires collaboration with other stakeholders and subject matter experts spanning across the entire product life cycle at the component, system, and aircraft-level.

    This role embodies the integrated approach to design, build, test flight-worthy components, systems, and aircrafts with an emphasis on Energy Storage System and High Voltage Components.

    This position will be required to work on-site 5 days a week during 2nd shift hours. Please note work hours may flex depending on business need.

    What you can do:
    Develop and execute build plans driven by program milestones, critical paths, and risk registry
    Develop work instructions to build and test flight-worthy components and systems
    Define statement of work and on-board equipment, hardware, and fixtures at work centers
    Drive quality assurance efforts such as incoming inspection, functional testing, process/product buy-off
    Identify and procure the necessary equipment to perform functional testing
    Work with technicians and subject matter experts to build and test flight-worthy products
    Advocate build team objectives with other verticals, stakeholders, and suppliers
    Provide design for manufacturing guidelines to ensure build success across the organization
    Prioritize build initiatives according to product and tech development roadmap
    Leverage expertise of technology development partners to speed up product development
    Develop and execute certification plans for novel manufacturing technologies
    Support the fabrication efforts for structural test and demonstration articles
    Develop manufacturing standard practices and guidelines
    Support other teams in detail design, systems architecture and systems integration work
    Support in the review and approval of supplier's statement of work, work instructions, and specs
    Contribute to the development of the aircraft maintenance manual
    Partner with PMO organization to execute build plan
    Requires up to 10% of domestic and international travel
    Other duties as assigned

    What you can contribute:
    Bachelor's degree in STEM or related field required; Master's degree preferred
    Minimum five (5) years of experience in urban air mobility, aviation and/or automotive (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)

    You may also be able to contribute:

    Experience with Energy Storage System and High-Voltage Components preferred
    Experience with electronics preferred
    Experience with composite airframes and/or structures preferred
    Experience with integrated product teams and/or systems of systems framework preferred
    Experience designing and developing flight-worthy products preferred
    Experience in aviation certification environment preferred
    Experience with development programs preferred
    Experience in prototyping environments preferred
    Experience with project management preferred
    LEAN/Six Sigma experience and qualifications
    Proficient with model-based definition, drafting, and GD&T standards

    Base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a bonus as part of total compensation.
