As a Benefit Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring the effectiveness and competitiveness of our employee benefits programs.
You will be responsible for analyzing, evaluating, and implementing various benefit plans, as well as providing support to both employees and management regarding benefit-related inquiries and issues.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of employee benefits regulations and best practices.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties & Responsibilities
Benefit Plan Analysis:
Conduct comprehensive analysis and evaluation of existing benefit plans to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
Market Research:
Stay abreast of industry trends and market benchmarks to ensure our benefit offerings remain competitive and aligned with industry standards.
Plan Design and Implementation:
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design and implement new benefit programs or enhancements to existing programs, ensuring they meet the needs of employees while adhering to budgetary constraints and regulatory requirements.
Vendor Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for benefit vendors, managing relationships, negotiating contracts, and resolving any issues or discrepancies.
Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations governing employee benefits, including ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, and FMLA. Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies as necessary.
Employee Education and Support:
Develop and deliver employee communications, presentations, and training sessions to educate employees about available benefits and assist them with enrollment, claims, and other benefit-related inquiries.
Data Analysis and Reporting :
Collect, analyze, and interpret benefit-related data to identify trends, track utilization, and assess the effectiveness of benefit programs. Prepare regular reports and presentations for management review.
Continuous Improvement :
Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within the benefits administration function, recommending and implementing solutions as appropriate.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNo supervisory responsibilities.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
2+ years of experience in benefits administration or a similar role.
Strong understanding of employee benefits regulations, including ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, and FMLA.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven recommendations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or similar certification preferred.
Workday experience necessary
Knowledge, Skills & Proficiencies
1+ year Benefits plan administration background
1+ year customer service background
Strong functional knowledge of Excel specific to creating, formatting and evaluating formulas and working within templates.
Must be proficient in Excel, Word and other MS Office products along with Adobe products.
Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
Advanced problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Ability to manage and negotiate multiple priorities and deadlines.

This position works under usual office conditions.
The associate is required to work at a personal computer as well as be on the phone for extended periods of time.
Must be able to stand, sit, walk and occasionally climb. The incumbent must be able to work extended and flexible hours and weekends as needed.
