- Safely operate heavy equipment to excavate, move, load and grade earth, rock, gravel, and other materials
- Perform various activities including but not limited to: road building, fine grading, finishing, sloping, banking, backfilling, demolition, ditching, loading, excavating, stockpiling, road surface maintenance, building and maintaining road berms, loading trucks, and trenching
- Operate equipment proficiently and safely
- Ensure operation of equipment is within capabilities and limitations
- Perform required safety inspections and complete documentation
- Maintain a clean and safe job site
- Perform other duties as required
- Must have construction experience / heavy construction preferred
- Minimum of 5 year experience required
- Batch Plant experience preferred
- Read engineering drawing
- Work Safely
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Follow instructions and meet set standards
- Judge distances and slopes accurately
- Make decisions based on verifiable standards
- Stoop, bend, and crouch
- Use hands, arms, and legs fully
- See well (either naturally or with correction)
- Lift up to 50 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
