The Patient Access Coordinator at North Mississippi Health Services is responsible for supporting the overall financial health of the organization by completing daily activities including collecting insurance information,point of service collections,
financial arrangements, customer service via direct contact with patients & their family members.
Responsibilities
- Scheduling:responsible for scheduling/rescheduling pre-certifying checking medical necessity pre-registering patients for appointments diagnostic tests outpatient procedures ordered by referring providers.
- Patient Experience.obtain crucial confidential patient identification information ensures HIPAA guidelines enforced effectively communicates NMHS' organizational revenue cycle & financial policies estimates charity plans payment options to patients & patient representatives provides bedside registration obtain consent form signatures collect insurance pertinent information ensure accurate medical record data entry aligns CMS other regulatory agencies.
