    Job Description:

    • The Senior Project Engineer (MANP3) will support the development of the US Navy Watercraft program in support of Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division Detachment Norfolk, Combatant Craft Division (NSWCCDDN), Code 83
    • The Senior Project Engineer (MANP3) will support the early-stage definition and analysis of systems related to watercrafts
    It is desired that the candidate has the experience to support the following:

    • The candidate should have demonstrated knowledge in areas of research and development, science and technology development, planning, proof of concept design development and fabrication and prototype design and fabrication
    • The candidate should have demonstrated experience in conducting research and accomplishing engineering analysis on systems/equipment requirements and characteristics
    • The candidate should have experience in systems and design engineering support for early-stage concept design, systems engineering, fabrication, and testing for new, unproven, preliminary prototyping concepts
    • The candidate should have experience in areas such as: determining advantages and disadvantages of alternative concepts; demonstrations; operational assessments; risk assessments
    • The candidate will also support cost assessments; value engineering; lifecycle cost estimates; cost-performance trade-offs; interoperability considerations; revolutionary and incremental development; analysis of alternative strategies; manpower estimates; collection and analysis of cost data; human factors engineering, environmental, safety and health considerations; specification development; and requirements definition support

    Require Skills and Experiences:

    • Must be a U.S
    citizen


    • An active secret security clearance

    Desired Experience:

    • Fifteen (15) years of experience in the operation, maintenance, design, or testing of watercraft and watercraft systems and equipment
    • Five (5) years of experience in a leadership role supporting Navy program offices

    Degree Requirements:

    Required Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university

    Desired Education:

    • Master's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university
