Refinery Engineer Manager

We are in search of a versatile and hands-on Refinery Engineer Manager to become a part of our team in Kingsland GA. This role involves overseeing the maintenance department with a primary focus on Project Management. Responsibilities include assisting, managing, and leading projects, overseeing budget costs, coordinating activities of the maintenance department, subcontractors, and facility personnel. The position entails evaluating requests to ensure alignment with project scope and budget, and making necessary modifications or additions to equipment systems. This role involves spending around 30-40% of time in the plant and 60-70% in the office.

The role also involves collaborating with the Refinery GM to establish a list of capital projects and creating associated budget costs. Engineering support to the plant maintenance department is provided as necessary, including coordinating planned system outages. The position also entails providing engineering assistance for capital project design and development, acquiring required permits, coordinating project activities at the plant level, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and company policies.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering preferred
5-7 years of Engineering experience in an industrial plant setting
5-7 years of Project Management experience
3 years of Capital Projects experience preferred
3 years of team management experience
Familiarity with various CAD programs

Additional qualifications include knowledge of process instrumentation, piping, valves, pumps, construction materials, coating systems, fire detection, material handling, and building/structure maintenance. Refinery experience, Distillation, and Production experience are advantageous, along with a background in maintenance. Excellent communication skills, ability to influence across all organizational levels, proficiency in various CAD programs, and capability to perform physical tasks are essential for this role.
