    Overview:

    Title: Luncheon Aide Part Time (25 hours per week)

    Reports To: Site Manager, Nutrition Services

    Responsible for support and related services of meal provision as it relates to congregate and home bound participants.

    *Set Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30am-1:30pm.

    Responsibilities:
    • Receive and distribute prepared meals and maintain cleanliness of the cafeteria and luncheon area.
    • Perform manual work involved in cleaning eating areas, including but not limited to putting refuse in bags, cleaning tables, and spills which may occur.
    • Perform manual work involved in cafeteria area, including but not limited to cleaning caterer serving trays and utensils, coffee pots, opening cartons, lifting food items, removing garbage.
    • Accurately record food temperatures and follow food sanitation and safety code policy with receiving, holding, serving, packing out, extra meals, dishwashing procedures and food portion sizes.
    • Ability to wait on tables and deliver/remove eating trays.
    • Back up for various Site Manager responsibilities, as may arise, and act as interim Site Manager in the event of her/his absence when designated.
    • Assist with calculation of daily meal counts, as well as inventory items.
    • Assist with clients and calls regarding scheduling of meals and/or transportation.
    • Assist with Support activities, for example SAMS, clerical responsibilities, deliver meals, as needed
    • Maybe assigned to sites based on the needs of the program and can be relocated when the needs of the program dictate a change.
    • May assist with and/or deliver meals to home bound participants.
    • Perform all other duties as assigned.
    Qualifications:

    Skills and Experience:

    Will be required to learn to utilize various computer programs: SAMS, Word, Excel for example.

    Must be organized and self-motivated.

    Ability to carry out recurring assignments independently and in accord with established procedures, policies.

    Ability to remember oral and written instructions and directions and to learn quickly from demonstrations.

    Ability to write descriptive reports using proper style and format.

    Ability to develop and maintain effective work relations with supervisors, co-workers and public.

    Work to promote a healthy work environment.

    Must possess a valid NJ drivers license.

    Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

    Required to pass and maintain food sanitation tests (i.e. ServSafe)

    Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position. American Sign Language or Braille may also be considered as
    acceptable forms of communication.
