The Registered Nurse assumes accountability and responsibility for quality of care provided to patients and their families according to the Standards of Nursing Practice.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing and reassessing each patient and planning the care that includes the spiritual, emotional, physiological and psychosocial needs.
Once developed, the Registered Nurse is responsible to see that the Plan of Care is carried out through performance and/or appropriate delegation to unit personnel.
Required Education:
Graduate of accredited school of Nursing
Required Technical Skills:
BLS, ACLS (if not currently ACLS certified, must complete within six months of employment, and thereafter renew within two months of the recommended date of renewal).
Required Licensure /Registration /Certification:
Current Texas Licensure as a Registered Nurse
Required Experience:
Possess the knowledge to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patients. One year experience as an RN on a medical/surgical unit.
