    POSITION SUMMARYThe Morgan Stanley Financial Planning Analyst position offers a unique opportunity to work directly with Financial Advisors to provide in-depth insight into wealth planning strategies for the firms clients.

    In this role, the Financial Planning Analyst will utilize Morgan Stanleys innovative planning tools to drive goals-based Wealth Management for Financial Advisors and their clients.

    In partnership with Morgan Stanleys Financial Planning Directors and Wealth Advisor Associates, this position will play a key role in assisting Advisors with incorporating sophisticated solutions into a clients financial picture to meet their long-term objectives.


    DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:


    Generate financial plans for clients utilizing Morgan Stanleys state-of-the art Wealth Planning SolutionsLeverage and action information acquired during financial planning and client discovery conversations with Financial AdvisorAssist Financial Advisors with helping their clients articulate their financial goals within the context of their investment strategyMaintain and monitor client status against existing financial plansPartner with Wealth Advisor Associates (WAA) and Financial Planning Directors on training, tools, etc.

    Drive goals-based wealth management strategy with Financial Advisors and their clientsCoordinate with firm specialists to ensure the team is leveraging all relevant firm initiativesLeverage financial planning tools to drive Net Acquired Assets (NAA) growthComplete proprietary training in wealth planning disciplines, investment strategies, and product suitabilityActively engage in other available training and education programs, including firm strategic priorities and professional development, and stay current on policies, procedures and new platformsRegularly seek opportunities to use firm resources for peer sharing and collaborating with Financial AdvisorsProactively participate in firm initiatives directed by local managementQualifications:
    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, and


    SKILLS:


    Education and/or Experience5+ years of work experience in a field relevant to the position requiredBachelors degree or professional certification preferredActive Series 7 (GS), and Series 66 (AG/RA) or Series 63 (AG) and Series 65 (RA)Complete and maintain internal Financial Planning Associate designationWillingness to obtain CFP and/or CPWA designationKnowledge/SkillsKnowledge of Financial Planning and product knowledge preferredKnowledge of applicable compliance rules and regulations and firm policiesExemplary communication, presentation, time-management and organizational skillsProficient at listening to client needs and skillfully constructing tailored financial solutionsStrong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office productsTeam player with the ability to collaborate with othersAbility to work in a fast-paced, evolving environmentReports toBusiness Service OfficerMorgan Stanley's goal is to build and maintain a workforce that is diverse in experience and background but uniform in reflecting our standards of integrity and excellence.
