The primary duties of a Clinical Manager consist of setting work schedules, objectives, and goals for the department, implementing policies and procedures, recruiting new staff and increasing the efficiency and quality of patient care.

    Responsibilities:

    ❖ Oversee the daily supervision of the practice's back-office staff (medical assistants and x-ray technician), including those performing phlebotomy and lab duties to assure that the back-office activities run effectively and that the staff are supporting the physicians and caring for the patients

    ❖ Appropriate staffing and schedule management❖ Monitor inventory and order supplies and equipment❖ Ensure facility meets healthcare and federal regulations❖ Hire and train new back-office employees❖ Inform staff and provide training on new policies and procedures❖ Supervise staff and complete routine and annual performance reviews❖ Efficiently triage patients and perform necessary patient care and procedures❖ Maintain COVID vaccines inventory via GA Dept of Public Health GRITS system and monitor appropriate storage of vaccines❖ Maintain communication with contracted lab management and phlebotomists for smooth patient flow❖ Monitor staff call backs, patient communication, prior authorizations, and referrals for timely responses❖ Manage and improve clinical workflows and interaction between other departments in the practice❖ Provide periodic skills refresher trainings❖ Lead monthly team meetings and huddles

    Qualifications: ❖ Must have an LPN or Medical Assistant in a family practice office with 5 years ❖experience preferred❖ Management experience in a clinical or healthcare setting❖ Proficient in administrative tasks, such as updating patient records and creating an efficient schedule❖ Strong interpersonal skills for talking to patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies❖ Excellent written and verbal communication skills❖ Ability to multi-task and manage time well❖ Great analytical and decision-making skills❖ Able to lead and motivate a team confidently❖ Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare federal regulations❖ Must be customer service oriented and prepared to liaise with patients, their families and other care providers❖ Extremely organized and detail oriented❖ Ability to delegate tasks as needed EPIC a plus.
