Skydio is the leading US drone company and the world leader in autonomous flight the key technology for the future of drones aerial mobility The Skydio team combines deep expertise in artificial intelligence best-in-class hardware and software product development operational excellence customer obsession to empower a broader more diverse audience of drone users from utility inspectors to first responders soldiers in battlefield scenarios beyond Insightfully designed manufacturing processes fully qualified supplier relationships are critical elements in bringing tightly integrated sophisticated electromechanical systems to major markets As a member of Skydios Supplier Quality Engineering team youll work with our Product Design Manufacturing Manufacturing Design Supply Chain and Quality teams interface with current potential suppliers to strengthen Skydios supplier base meet increasing production volume quality needs Conducingsupplier assessment on-site audits verify supplier quality systems overall capabilities Participate Hardware Product Development Process partner Manufacturing Design Engineers provide ideas suggestions manufacturing processes quality plans ensure suppliers have capabilities place high-quality production at volume Conduct First Article Inspections Surveillance Audits ensure suppliers adhere companys design engineering quality requirements maintain robust quality control assurance program place Drivequality planning during pre post-production SCAR activities drive continuous improvements Skydio supplier base towards zero defects Maintain supplier scorecards measure performance drive continuous improvements Skydio supplier base towards zero defects You are self-starter desire push Skydioproducts next level Possess interpersonal leadership skills ability positive team member internally externally Have experience bringing managing suppliers different geographies You possess knowledge GD&T Geometric Dimensioning Tolerancing interpret comprehend complex drawings Familiar used tools such as Failure Modes Effect Analysis FMEA Production Part Approval Process PPAP Root Cause Analysis tools e.g. 5-Why fishbone diagrams Statistical Process Control SPC achieved measurable results using them Expected travel requirements 20-30%
