    >1 year of experience $15,000 for a two-year commitment, <1 year of experience $10,000 for a two-year commitment.

    UPMC Shadyside is seeking a flex/full-time Diagnostic Tech/Diagnostic Tech Adv to join the Consolidated Outpatient Team This position will offer 3 12-hour shifts (5:30am - 6pm) or 4 10-hour shifts (between 5:30am - 6pm) No weekends, holidays or call responsibilities If you are passionate about providing top notch patient care in an outpatient setting, apply today


    Diagnostic Technologist starting rate:
    $24.73/hour.


    Diagnostic Technologist Adv starting rate:
    $26.16/hour.


    Final candidates will be selected for a job title within the career ladder that reflects level of education, experience, and manager discretion at the time of offer.


    Responsibilities:

    • Performs or assists Clinical Specialist in performing QA, regulatory testing, and other technical and research initiatives.
    • Demonstrates competency of specialty equipment (O.R., Fluoro Procedures, etc.) and analyzes data promptly. Performs electrocardiograms and lab draw functions if applicable.
    • Monitors quality control activities and demonstrates advanced level of knowledge in Diagnostic Imaging by providing patient care as defined by the most up to day protocols and procedures.
    • Participates in standardization activities with system-level workgroups.
    • Works directly with Radiologists regarding protocol development.
    • Assist with the training of staff and student technologists.

    Qualifications:

    Diagnostic Tech Requirements:

    • Graduate of an approved ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or verification from ARRT approved school of completion of program and scheduled graduation date.
    • Technologists hired before graduation will have indirect supervision by an ARRT certified Diagnostic Technologist until the degree is verified.

    Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

    • ARRT Registry eligible as a Radiologic Technologist.
    • Must obtain radiography registry within 12 months of hire date.
    • CPR or BLS required.
    • CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
    • ARRT Certificate.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
    • Act 34

    Diagnostic Tech Adv Requirements:

    • Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology.
    • 2 years Diagnostic experience required.
    • Must have obtained a performance review rating of strong/solid/good on most recent performance review to be eligible for promotion.

    Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

    • ARRT certified in Radiography.
    • CPR or BLS Required.
    • CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
    • ARRT Certificate
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
