    About The Position

    The Project Procurement Specialist - Expeditor is a project procurement position that works with Ameren project teams, Business Segment stakeholders and Ameren suppliers and contractors in the planning, coordination and execution of materials and equipment orders related to projects.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Coordinate with Project Procurement Specialists and Strategic Sourcing professionals on potential supplier issues for the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) process
    • Responsible for coordinating the resolution constraints between supplier and the Ameren Sourcing Team (such as capacity issues, logistics challenges)
    • Responsible for making sure material deliveries align with project delivery needs (e.g., lifting equipment needed to unload materials are onsite when needed and work can be completed safely)
    • Accountable for tracking and developing forecasts on order-by dates and drawing submittal dates to meet need-by dates based on lead times and production slots (i.e. transformers, control enclosures, breakers, etc.)
    • Accountable for tracking long-lead time materials based on key manufacturing milestones to ensure accuracy of delivery times vs. need-by dates
    • Develop and utilize PO pending reports (internal requisition/PO approval sequence)
    • Manage supplier acknowledgements (order confirmation)
    • Use information on supplier follow-ups (order tracking)
    • Develop and utilize stock material back order reports (date jeopardies)
    • Develop look-aheads for deliveries upcoming in the field
    • Confirm with Suppliers and Stores any changes to material sequencing plan
    • Provide General Foreman contact information to Suppliers and Stores for efficient advanced delivery notifications
    • Use information provided by Ameren stores and warehouses on stock material deliveries
    • Accountable for tracking of requested vs. actual delivery dates (supplier performance)
    • Enter material receipts and collection of Material Tracking Records (MTRs), as appropriate
    • Facilitate material returns process by coordinating with appropriate Ameren warehousing personnel for project materials
    • Use logistics service provider software and shipper systems to track promised ship dates and monitor status
    • Reconcile PO pending reports (internal requisition/PO approval sequence) and track overdue delivery dates

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree required; preferably in Engineering, Business, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, Digital, or other related field from an accredited university. MBA, JD, or other related graduate degree preferred. Five or more years of directly relevant work experience in contracting, construction, strategic sourcing, purchasing, consulting, cost accounting, engineering, legal, or finance is required. Candidates with an advanced degree will be considered with three or more years of experience.

    In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

    Experience working with and managing contracts required. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required. Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management required. Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently required. Solid verbal and written communication skills preferred.
