    Position Summary:

    • Provide Respiratory Care for patients in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and Inpatient Pediatric General Care Units.
    • Qualified to operate various respiratory care modalities and equipment.
    • Build collaborative relationships with healthcare team members.
    • Contribute to the multidisciplinary patient care plan.
    • Perform other assigned duties.

    Education:

    Minimum requirement is an Associates Degree in Respiratory Care (or equivalent). Completion of a CoARC approved Registered Respiratory Therapy Program. A Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care or related field is desirable.

    Work Experience:

    • At least 2 years of critical care experience in pediatric or neonatal respiratory care, and/or ECMO.
    • Proficiency in analyzing physician orders, providing therapy, and reporting treatment outcomes.
    • Implement respiratory care practices according to JHH standards and approved infection control techniques.
    • Demonstrate organizational skills for clinical care provision.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for optimal patient care.

    Licensure/Certification:

    • Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (R.R.T.).
    • Maryland State License is mandatory.
    • PALS and B.L.S. certifications are required.
    • NRP certification is essential for the NICU.
    • STABLE certification is preferred or to be obtained within one year of hiring.
