    Quality Assurance at Pull Systems

    We are building a modern web-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) tool and API for our EV manufacturing customers.

    Our software team is lean, agile, and high-performing, consisting of a small number of full-time engineers on the West Coast of the US augmented with overseas contractors.

    We believe product quality is achieved through the thoughtful and diligent application of multiple processes:
    Manual Testing
    Automated Testing
    Internal "eat your own dogfood" product usage
    Direct and Indirect Customer Feedback
    Engineer testing and tools
    We are looking for a leader to marshal these efforts across the company.

    Responsibilities for the Quality Assurance Lead include:
    Developing, administering, documenting, improving, and educating the team on all QA strategy and process.
    Hiring and managing local and overseas QA engineers to scale with the team.
    Writing, maintaining, improving, and executing manual test cases for regression and feature acceptance testing.

    Representing QA on cross-functional software project teams, advising and counseling QA practices to be incorporated in the feature specification and development process.

    Managing automation for regression testing through a combination of hands-on coding and leading engineers.
    Managing and communicating customer software releases.
    Characterizing and prioritizing incoming bug reports and feedback from internal users and customers.
    Reporting on the wholistic state of product quality to the leadership team.
    Recruiting like-minded teammates with technical screens and interviews.
    Requirements

    To qualify for this role, you must bring:
    At least 7 years of experience in QA for software product development.
    Current knowledge of state-of-the-art QA tools, technologies, frameworks, and methodologies.
    Experience hiring and managing QA professionals.
    Demonstrated mastery of building comprehensive test strategies and executing them in a cross-functional leadership context.
    Experience building, deploying and managing test automation at scale.
    Practical experience working with SQL databases.
    Great all-purpose engineering skills and experience. Proven ability to build and maintain complex technical process.
    Demonstrated skills at technical writing.
    An ability to communicate complexity to an audience of any skillset.

    Professional software development experience as a coder.
    Hands-on experience with CI / CD or DevOps.
    Direct experience with Data Science or Statistics in a substantial professional or academic environment.

    Professional experience with companies in the mobility sector.
    Experience in and passion for building things from scratch with small teams.

    This position is located in the San Francisco Bay Area, with regular travel to the Palo Alto office required several days per week.
