Job Summary
The Histotechnician/Grossing Technician Trainee position is for an individual who meets the educational requirements outlined in the corporate policies outlined above, but does not have bench experience. The individual will be trained either as a grossing technician or as a histotechnician.The responsibilities of this role include under general supervision and according to policies and procedures performing routine and limited non-routine activities involved in the preparation of slides for microscopic evaluation by pathologists. This includes dissecting surgical specimens and preparing tissues for histologic processing. Additionally, employees must ensure all corporate safety, quality control, and quality assurance standards are met.
