- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of grade-level standards/assessments/instructional strategies
- Ability to disaggregate, interpret, and analyze assessment data
- Ability to develop and deliver training to adult learners
- Bilngual, English/Spanish preferred but not required
- Utilizing current research and district data, the coach will perform a variety of tasks that provide strong educational support for teachers.
- Provides direct support and professional learning to school staff to assist them in creating rigorous instruction, exposing students to higher-order thinking, and how to consistently plan engaging lessons aligned to the district curriculum and NJSLS.
- Provide instruction in the content area in varied classroom settings, as assigned by administration.?
- Support grade-specific content area teachers with topics such as student engagement, higher-level thinking and questioning, and rigorous instruction.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with teacher cohorts.
- Work with building and district administrators and applicable school-based committees to assist in accomplishing goals, objectives, and create activities.
- Attend applicable professional conferences and workshops and turn-key information.
- Guide teachers in leading effective data-driven conversations with students and peers.
- Assist teachers and administrators with organizing, analyzing, and drawing actionable conclusions based on formative assessment data and classroom visits.
- Collaborate with teachers to implement the plan, teach, debrief model to refine best practices.
- Conduct classroom visits in a non-evaluative supporting structure, providing feedback on lessons and model lessons.
- Attend consultant training, grade-level meetings, building meetings, and coaching professional development.
- Utilize current district data to drive instructional needs. Assure cohesion in between consultant visitations.
- Work with administration in the creation of the school's professional development plan with specific, measurable, and attainable benchmarks for teacher and student performance.
- Identify, design, and implement additional professional development during in-service days.
- Support curriculum development and implementation for the assigned content area(s).
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Ten (10) month position. Salary commensurate with the current TEAM Agreement.

Instructional Coach Position
The district is seeking qualified educators to work in the capacity of Instructional Coach. Utilizing current research and district data, Instructional Coaches will perform a variety of tasks that provide strong educational support for teachers.
