Overview
Henkels & McCoy, Inc. (H&M's) Chantilly office specializes in low voltage cabling to support enterprise, data centers, government, and medical facilities. We design and install multiple technologies and work throughout the Baltimore & Washington DC Metro areas. H&M is seeking several energetic, career minded individuals to join our team working out of our Chantilly, Virginia office.
While working under the direction of a team lead or Foreman, the ideal candidate for the Installer position will possess 1-3 years' experience in structured cabling and promote a safe working environment.
Responsibilities
- Primarily responsible for assisting in multiple aspects of cable installation including pathways, rough-in, closet build-out, cable terminations, labeling, grounding, trouble-shooting and testing.
- Ability to complete tasks with a high degree of quality and efficiency.
- Embrace H&M's safety culture by following safe work practices and policies.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, floor plans, specifications and cut sheets.
- Assist with basic job site organization and housekeeping.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of structured cabling experience required.
- Data Center Experience a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to exhibit a positive attitude and be a team player.
- Ability to meet deadlines, listen and follow instructions.
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Must be able to climb ladders and perform the necessary tasks while on the ladder.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and carry 25 lbs.
- Industry Certifications a plus. (i.e. CommScope, Hilti, Panduit, etc.)
- Must have own tools.
- Occasional overtime and out of town travel may be required.
- Ability to travel to multiple locations in Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia.
- No relocation provided, local candidates only.

Hourly Rate: $ $24.66 Depending Upon Experience
