    Summary of Position
    We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented individual to join our team as the Associate Development Director & 4-H Director, leading UNH Cooperative Extension fundraising efforts. This position reports to a managing director of development through UNH Advancement with a dotted line to the director of UNH Extension. In this role, you will lead and oversee fundraising efforts to support the impactful work of UNH Cooperative Extension, with a focus on 4-H programs and initiatives. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for driving general fundraising strategies, maintaining strategic action plans, and supporting the 4-H Foundation Board. The success of this position will be evidenced by annual fundraising metrics identified in partnership with UNH Advancement, and a full 4-H Foundation board with a high level of engagement.

    Duties / Responsibilities



    Job Duties

    Duty/Responsibility
    General Cooperative Extension Fundraising
    • Direct fundraising efforts including annual appeals, 603 Challenge, and donor events.
    • Identify and assess philanthropic readiness of donor prospects.
    • Cultivate and solicit gifts, partnering with donor relations for effective stewardship.
    • Travel extensively to meet with current and potential donors, directly soliciting leadership-level annual fund gifts.
    • Utilize key Cooperative Extension staff members as cultivation and solicitation partners during strategic donor visits.
    • Serve as liaison between Cooperative Extension and University Advancement to ensure seamless fundraising efforts.
    • Develop and maintain written strategic action plans for increased annual fund giving.
    • Review and monitor progress towards revenue goals and visit targets.
    • Prepare and monitor budget for travel and fundraising expenses.
    Duty/Responsibility
    4-H Foundation Fundraising and Donations
    • Identify, cultivate, and solicit annual fund, leadership-level, and major gift prospects for 4-H Foundation.
    • Oversee gift tracking to ensure proper allocation and work with the director of Cooperative Extension, state 4-H program team leader, and 4-H Foundation Board chair for stewardship strategies.
    • Develop and execute engagement strategies for proper stewardship of gifts and cultivation of future donors.
    • Collaborate with 4-H program team leader to establish funding goals and priorities.
    Duty/Responsibility
    4-H Foundation Board Support
    • Engage board members, coordinate initiatives, and ensure goals are achieved.
    • Collaborate with the nominating committee to recruit new board members and provide orientation.
    • Support the 4-H Foundation Board chair in developing meeting agendas, reviewing and communicating meeting minutes, and engaging board members in board activities.
    • Keep board members informed on 4-H program activities, announcements, and fundraising efforts on a regular basis.
    • Support the 4-H development subcommittee in identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding potential donors.
    Duty/Responsibility
    4-H Foundation Special Events
    • Coordinate the 4-H Foundation annual meeting, preparing reports and financial sheets.
    • Oversee and coordinate other significant fundraising events such as the 4-H Friend of Tom Fairchild Golf Tournament and the annual 4-H Alumni Reunion.
