- Utilizing Red Hat Enterprise Linux system administration expertise to offer technical solutions and consulting on system operations
- Automating installation methods and system imaging using tools like Kickstart/Ansible
- Establishing public key infrastructure (PKI) utilizing cryptographic skills to manage digital certificates and encryption
- Implementing DISA STIG requirements and operating within Configuration-Managed Environments
- Enhancing system performance through analyzing, designing, and implementing software modifications
- Collaborating with engineers to optimize workstation and server usage for computational problem-solving
- Supporting application installation, license management, software tracking, and system configuration backup
- Managing system security, including firewall setup and SELinux configuration
- Configuring network services such as HTTP, DNS, SMTP, SSH, and NTP
- Producing system utilization reports and automating maintenance tasks using shell scripting
- Handling system logging, networking services, file systems, and disk storage configurations
- Managing users, groups, and authentication through centralized directories
- IAT Level II Cert and Interim or Active Secret Clearance
- Minimum three to six years' experience in Linux server and workstation administration
- Department of Defense experience with security guidelines and policies preferred
- Hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7.x)
- Familiarity with corporate services like DNS, SMTP, RHEV, Splunk, and Apache
- Management of IT infrastructure installation and maintenance
- Hardware experience with Dell systems
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with shifting job priorities
- Proficiency in ServiceNow ITSM Ticket Management
- Linux+ or Red Hat Certification is a plus
- Location: Multiple sites in Dahlgren, VA
- Dress Code: Business Casual
- Team Structure: Approximately 200 personnel divided into various teams - Linux, Windows, IT Support, networking, applications, security, etc.
