- Serves as the leader, technical expert and systems administrator for the Authority in the implementation and maintenance of systems components in an integrated environment, providing guidance and direction to others, and resolving the most complex technical problems.
- Participates in the design, development and implementation of highly complex and highly available Systems and applications in accordance with the Authority's goals and objectives.
- Works with contractors, vendors, and other internal departments on projects that have a network infrastructure component.
- Implements and maintains system products and configurations and makes recommendations to ensure that the infrastructure has a solid best practices-based architecture in place.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in computer science and a minimum of seven years of directly related job experience. Must have extensive industry experience implementing and maintaining Exchange Messaging Systems. Must have a background that includes Linux, Windows, and basic network components including TCP/IP, DNS, and Firewalls. Must have excellent analytical skills.
As a team lead, must be able to develop and manage plans for multiple high-profile projects as well as meet production support responsibilities.
Must have the ability to resolve highly technical systems issues associated with systems performance and security.In lieu of a degree, equivalent work experience in the area of systems engineering may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
