- providing day-to-day monitoring, identifying, reporting, investigating, and controlling infections and communicable diseases,
- monitoring hospital-wide surveillance,
- collecting and reporting data, and
- survey readiness Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in leading Infection Control in a hospital setting combined with knowledge of Infection Prevention in the Operating Room, patient care standards, infectious disease, and sterilization/sanitation/disinfection practices; familiarity with NHSN reporting; experience with clinical surveillance system software
- License: State of California RN license required
- Certifications: Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred
- Computer Skills/EMR/EHR: Strong working knowledge of clinical surveillance (Epic); other related software applications and Microsoft Office suite (MS Word, MS Excel, etc.) Expenses are covered while on assignment including housing, airfare, and rental car.
