Maintenance Technician – 1st Shift
Non-Exempt - reporting to the Maintenance & Facilities Manager
$27.00 to $29.00 per hour
SoPark Corporation, a contract electronics service provider that supplies OEMs with printed circuit boards and electromechanical assemblies, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment, thereby maintaining production and quality.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe maintenance, repair, or replacement of plant equipment and systems to ensure maximum productivity and quality while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the company. This position possesses a great deal of opportunity for growth
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with the Maintenance and Facilities Manager to ensure that designated buildings and plant facilities are fit for purpose and provide proactive support/solutions when required.
- Work with the Maintenance and Facilities Manager to plan all repair and installation activities.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production/facilities equipment. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and adjust.
- Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
- Member of the Safety Committee.
- Perform mechanical skills, including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and repair of production machines, and plumbing skills.
- Be ready to provide emergency/unscheduled repairs to production.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Comfortable with ladders, heights, and outdoor work.
- Able to lift/move up to 90 pounds.
- Work on special projects as assigned.
At least 5 years of experience with troubleshooting and repair is required.
