Polsinelli is seeking an experienced Director of Accounting to lead firmwide accounting operations and provide strategic financial leadership in support of the firm's growth and operational excellence.This role oversees all accounting functions, manages personnel, ensures financial reporting integrity accuracy and timeliness The Director partners closely with CFO firm leadership external advisors maintain strong internal controls regulatory compliance best-in-class accounting operations Core Responsibilities ACCOUNTING OPERATIONS LEADERSHIP Oversee all accounting operations Provide leadership direction performance management to the accounting team Directly manage mentor Controller Staff Accountants who report into this role Establish maintain strong internal controls policies across the firm FINANCIAL CLOSE REPORTING CONTROLS Provide oversight monthly quarterly annual close processes Ensure accurate timely preparation of financial statements internal management reporting Review analyze financial results support decision-making by firm leadership Maintain compliance GAAP regulatory standards law firmspecific requirements TREASURY CASH CAPITAL MANAGEMENT Oversee treasury cash management functions liquidity planning forecasting Manage banking relationships coordinate capital debt activities Provide oversight payroll processes related controls Ensure compliance firm policies governance standards AUDIT TAX EXTERNAL COORDINATION Serve primary point coordination external auditors tax advisors Oversee audit planning preparation schedules workpapers responses Coordinate federal state local tax compliance partnershiprelated filings Support timely effective completion external reporting obligations STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP PROCESS IMPROVEMENT Partner CFO strategic initiatives operational improvements Identify opportunities enhance processes systems efficiency Collaborate crossfunctionally Finance Operations IT Human Resources Leadership Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree Accounting Finance or related field CPA strongly preferred Experience progressive years large law legal professional services environment Prior experience leading supervising staff Strong experience across financial reporting monthly close treasury payroll audit coordination internal controls Deep knowledge GAAP partnership excellent analytical organizational communication skills Preferred Experience supporting complex multi-offices law firms Familiarity with Financial Systems Reporting Structures Experience Elite Chrome River plus PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS Proven leader developer highperforming teams Highly organized detailoriented able manage competing priorities Strong judgment operational strategic mindset Adaptable collaborative open change Demonstrates highest standards integrity professionalism
