    Job Description

    Essential Job Functions:

    The position calls for a strong engineer and an architect (20%) that is also experience with planning and executing SW development (20%). Position responsibilities include, but may not be limited to the following:

    • Develop and maintain an architecture for the MMI App
    • Plan App development scope and sprints
    • Run a scrum team
    • Develop the MMI Approved
    • Develop and deliver robust and safe iOS applications for medical devices, from the concept phase through design, implementation, unit testing and integration
    • Collaborate with engineers in UX, embedded software, verification, and other fields to build innovative solutions and ensure requirements and specifications are met
    • Help plan projects – scope and timelines
    • Design, implement, unit test and integrate software
    • Participate in the formal release process for medical devices satisfying quality and regulatory requirements
    • All other duties as assigned

    Requirements

    Education:

    • BS/BA degree in Computer Science or related engineering field

    Experience:

    • 5+ years as an iOS SW developer
    • 2+ years developing software architecture, interfaces and detailed design
    • 2+ years running planning and executing SW development
    • 2+ years running a team

    Skills (Required):

    • Strong verbal and written communications skills

    Skills (Preferred):

    • Hands-on Android development is a plus
    • Application test automation
    • BLE communication
    • Git, package managers, Swift, Java, Gradle
    • Medical device experience (IEC or experience in a regulated industry

    Physical:

    • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
    • Ability to infrequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
