Qualifications

  • Experience working with groups of children (teaching, tutoring, coaching, camp counseling)
  • Comfort leading a class independently and creating interactive sessions We seek upbeat engaging instructors Professional positive kid-friendly demeanor Genuine desire to be a positive role model promote good sportsmanship Strong grasp of chess fundamentals Ability to connect chess problem-solving real-life problem-solving Reliable personal transportation ability to drive between locations Punctuality time-management skills Commitment safety protocols protect students' well-being

Responsibilities

  • • Lead fun interactive chess classes for 10–15 energetic elementary students Instructors should be comfortable guiding activities keeping students engaged redirecting behavior when needed Use our structured curriculum teach chess fundamentals promote good sportsmanship Manage lively classroom confidence positivity Encourage problem-solving creativity critical thinking Follow school safety protocols including supervision during arrival dismissal in-class activities Travel various local school sites each session Arrive on time prepared ready engage students
