- Administer daily medication to patients following program policies and medical procedures.
- Operate automated dispensing system(s), calibrate pump, and maintain dispensing equipment.
- Maintain accurate records and reports per Company protocol, Federal and State Regulations.
- Ensure adherence to security standards for controlled substance distribution and storage as outlined in the Code of Federal regulations.
- Manage medication ordering, receiving, and stocking in compliance with DEA and State regulations (if granted Power of Attorney).
- Conduct daily patient assessments.
- Assist Nursing Supervisor in training new nursing staff.
- Perform other relevant tasks assigned by the supervisor.
- Active and valid LPN/LVN license in South Dakota.
- Current CPR certification is mandatory.
- Proficiency in EMR & computer skills is preferred.
- Prior experience in chemical dependency is advantageous, along with being self-motivated and having a positive outlook towards individuals undergoing substance abuse treatment.
- Passing drug screening and clean criminal background check are required.

Per Diem Dispensing Nurse LPN/LVN
BAART Programs is looking for a meticulous and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse to administer prescribed medications as part of a treatment team supported by Physicians and Nursing Supervisors. The dispensing nurse will also be responsible for managing dispensing equipment, overseeing medication inventory, and documenting patient treatment details.
The ideal candidate will collaborate effectively with supervisory counseling staff and exhibit a supportive and unbiased approach towards individuals with Substance Use Disorder.
