This is a full-time, on-site position for a Lead Cook located in the Boynton Beach area. The Lead Cook will oversee kitchen operations, including preparing high-quality meals, and supervising kitchen staff.
Responsibilities include ensuring food safety and sanitation compliance, implementing menus that maximize the use of available resources, and collaborating with the broader team to support Feeding South Florida's mission to provide healthy, nutritious meals to the community.
QualificationsProfessional culinary skills, including food preparation, cooking techniques, and menu planning
Experience in kitchen organization, inventory management, and maintaining food safety standards
Strong leadership and team management skills to supervise and support kitchen staff effectively
Flexibility to adapt to varying schedules and workloads in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain a clean kitchen environment
Culinary certification or relevant professional experience is preferred
Commitment to the mission of ending hunger and supporting the community
