Manager - Global FP&A - Lake Forest, United States - STAAR Surgical

JOB OVERVIEW
This position will be responsible for both short and long-term planning for STAAR Surgical. This position will be responsible for all FP&A activities and ad-hoc projects as detailed below.
1. Work with management on annual plan, rolling forecast and 5-year strategic plan.
2. Train, manage and mentor direct reports
3. Lead the validation, reporting, and analysis of operational data and company financials.
4. Drive and implement process improvements including streamlining processes and establishing standard work procedures
5. Compile, monitor, and review FP&A calendar to ensure all deliverable deadlines are met.
6. Manage Oracle/EPM system implementation. Maintain appropriate access levels to EPM systems and provide regular training sessions to users.
7. Develop meaningful reports for Management Reviews.
8. Monitor division and department adherence to approved budget through monthly variance analysis and the provision of key explanations for business and financial results.
9. Compile and report on company performance metrics (weekly, monthly, and quarterly report packages and presentations).
10. Review and approve POs.
11. Review Global Capital Plan (approval, Op Plan & Forecasts).
12. Create/manage cash flow, balance sheet for Planning cycles.
13. Responsible for learning new concepts and tasks quickly, work under pressure, and meet deadline requirements in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
14. Ensure strong attention to details and effective multitasking.
15. Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & TRAINING
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or related field or equivalent combination of education/experience
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in financial planning, analysis, and accounting (including experience with revenue, margin, and spending analyses)
Experience with ERP/EPM software packages, i.e., Oracle, NetSuite Financials and/or Planful (Host Analytics)
SKILLS
Good understanding and application of financial principles, concepts, practices, and standards
Expertise with MS Office suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Attention to detail and ability to analyze large amounts of data from multiple sources
Independent, detail oriented and diligent in self-review of work product
Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
