- Articulate and execute Divisional strategic HSE direction with local leadership to support overall business goals.
- Develop and implement internal HSE programs and processes, including training, audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
- Participate in divisional focus and improvement teams, acting as a technical advisor to drive continual HSE enhancements.
- Ensure alignment with legal, business, and client requirements.
- Lead SSE (Short Service Employee) and Mentor Training Program.
- Oversee local, state, and federal environmental reporting obligations.
- Conduct visitor inspections and maintain required document records.
- Act as a Lead HSE Management System and DOT auditor, coordinating audits and corrective actions.
- Provide coaching and mentoring on HSE matters and engage in project planning to mitigate risks.
- Analyze trends, identify root causes, and propose improvement plans based on best practices.
- Manage incidents from start to finish and collaborate with peers on HSE initiatives.
- Communicate with customers, establish HSE teams, and set up site-specific roles.
- Prepare HSE budgets, create plant floor communications, and report site statistics.
- Interpret MSDS information for proper decision-making and lead special projects as necessary.
- Champion Safety Committee and Behavior Based Safety Committee initiatives.
- Comprehensive knowledge of regulations and the regulatory process.
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to engage with all levels of management effectively.
- Proficiency in presentation, training, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Preferably an Associate's degree with 5-6 years of experience or a Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of experience.
- Preferred Associate level HSE Certification.
