Reports To: Director of Club House Operation
Summary of Position:
- The Concierge/Front Desk position assists all members of the Sarasota Yacht Club. This position requires a willingness to anticipate shifting membership and administrative needs. Additionally, the position develops and implements processes, projects, and functions designed to engage and retain Club members and enhance their Club experience
- Answers incoming phone calls
- Maintains Dining Reservations
- Communicates with F&B Director and Dining Room Manager regarding daily reservations and event reservations
- Coordinates with Marina Manager for reservations for reciprocal members visiting in the marina
- Distributes daily incoming and outgoing mail
- Arranges for administrative and other office services.
- Coordinates member requests for special services with the appropriate department.
- Contacts members periodically to ascertain any special needs.
- Enhances reciprocal program services for members to include the Florida Council of Yacht Clubs, Yachting Clubs of America and International Associate of Clubs
- Covers Ship Store when necessary
- Maintains reciprocal records and creates guest passes
- Oversees lost and found
- Provides club information to inquiring guests and potential members including tours and presentations of the club when needed
- Organizes member files when needed
- Assists Back Office with various administrative projects including but not limited to: coordinating various mailings and various reports.
- Assist members with questions about dining, events and activities in the club
- Assists in the planning and promotion of member functions and activities when necessary
- Calls and invites members to events, functions and activities.
- Calls and confirms reservations when needed
- Attends management and staff meetings as needed.
- Effectively responds to member comments in accordance with club standards, policies and rules; uses ideas feedback and suggestions to continuously improve the services provided to members.
