    Description
    Expression is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our team.

    The ideal candidate should be proficient in both front-end and back-end development, focusing on developing and maintaining web-based applications and systems using modern technologies.

    In this position, you will have opportunities to work with small, feature-focused teams to engineer solutions, mentor others, and learn from our staff of data scientists, DevSecOps engineers, product designers, and your fellow developers.

    You should be knowledgeable and customer-oriented, possessing strong communication and presentation skills. You should also have superior technical expertise and a problem-solving aptitude.


    Responsibilities:


    Engineer and develop web-based applications and systems using modern technologies such as TypeScript, React, Node.jsWrite clean, maintainable, and efficient codeCollaborate and lead agile cross-functional teams in theExecute code review and ensure coding standards and best practices are followedDebug and troubleshoot issues in development and production environmentsEnsure scalability, performance, and security of the applications and systemsStay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies.


    Mentor and guide less experienced developersLocation:
    Hybrid in the DMV area (Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia) with monthly onsite visits to our client site in Annapolis MD and quarterly gatherings at our HQ in downtown DC

    Minimum Experience:


    Secret Clearance or higherAssociates degree or higher in engineering, computer science, or related field and 10+ years of experience as a Software engineer7+ years of recent full-stack development experienceStrong experience with React or similar frameworks such as Angular 2 or Vue.

    jsStrong experience with the backend framework and related technologies such as GraphQL, REST, at least one ORMExperience visualizing big dataExperience some of:
    PostgreSQL, Redis, ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, MongoDB, AWS S3Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platformsProficiency with Git VCSExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailStrong communication and collaboration skillsAbility to mentor and guide junior developersBenefits:
