    The Challenge

    We are looking for an experienced Accounting Technician to join our Division 14 team.

    In this role, you will:

    • Perform accounts payable functions involving specialized funds of considerable size and complexity.
    • Assist our Business Officer in the maintenance and reconciliation of fixed assets and physical inventory.
    • Serve as Division14 backup Building Safety Inspection Program (BSIP) Coordinator and Security Coordinator.

    What You Bring

    • Experience in accounting principles and practices and working with accounts payable invoice deadlines and time sensitive documentation.
    • Extensive computer skills in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word), Windows, and online databases such as SAP.
    • Experience compiling clear, concise, and detailed reports and communicating effectively in verbal and written forms.
    • Demonstrated ability completing job duties independently and working well in a team environment.
    • General knowledge of purchasing processes.
    • Accounts payable experience and general knowledge of the proper management of fixed assets and proper inventory control procedures is beneficial.
    • Ability to prepare standard financial statements and reports.
    • Ability to identify and correct routine and recurring financial problems; referring more complex problems to a higher level.
    • Ability to verify accounting documents and forms for accuracy and completeness.
    • Presentation skills to present financial information clearly and concisely in verbal and written forms.
    • Knowledge of basic math computations.

    Education & Experience

    • Associate's degree in Accounting, and
    • 1+ years of accounting experience; or
    • High School/GED diploma, and
    • 3+ years of accounting experience; or
    • An equivalent combination of training and experience.
